At the top floor, all guests can enjoy the enchanting view from the panoramic terrace that looks out onto the rooftops of Florence's historical center, with its red terracotta tiles, the various church domes as well as bell towers.
The Residence offers a total of 11 apartments, all different in size.
The palace where the Residence is located occupies the entire corner of the two streets that arrive in the San Lorenzo Square, Via dell’Ariento and Canto de’ Nelli. The palace's origins are very ancient, now indistinguishable in the maze of streets that made up medieval Florence but its architectural history goes uninterrupted since the Renaissance up the eighteenth century. Starting from 1894, the historical brand La Medicea set up its headquarters here as well as its production of dress shirts and fine linens for the home. Present even today are the cast iron sewing machines activated by pedals and used by the young women that handmade the linens. While production no longer takes place within these walls, the owners thought such a historically rich palace was the perfect setting for welcoming visitors to the city of Florence within the hospitality of La Medicea Apartments.
